MacSorley, past Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Eye Restorations Clinic, Inc., was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction of honors goes out to individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
After nearly three decades in dentistry with 19 years of sales management and marketing, Mrs. MacSorley bridged her career to become an ocularist. She had learned how to make facial prosthetics in dental school and found that there were many similarities between working on eyes and working on mouths. Furthermore, she recognized the transition as an opportunity to own a business and have more flexibility for her family.
As the Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Eye Restorations Clinic, Inc., Mrs. MacSorley additionally served as Ocularist with the sole accountability for the fabrication and fit of Custom Prosthetic Eyes, while positioning the practice for maximum patients' needs and innovative marketing solutions to ocular-plastic surgeons. She revitalized and turned around financial strategies for the practice to meet and exceed expectations that streamlined operations, optimized productivity and introduced system efficiencies and compliances in a cost effective manner. Mrs. MacSorley cultivated new-found patient loyalty, increased revenue and referral business with past and disgruntled patients by identifying root causes and implementing recommended solutions. She promoted employees while offering an 'open door' policy that created trust and dialog. Additionally, Mrs. MacSorley managed and monitored compliances with all FDA, Medicare, Medicaid and HIPAA regulations, while negotiating and coordinating terms of medical insurances. Mrs. MacSorley attributes her success to her family, diligence and dedication.
Equaling Mrs. MacSorley's passion for her work is her devotion for volunteerism. For more than seven years, she has been extremely active in her local sports community. Mrs. MacSorley works with the Severna Park Green Hornets Organization, serving on the Sports Council Board, Assistant Football Commissioner, Logistics and Equipment Manager, Lacrosse Liaison to Pros and Colleges and Lacrosse
Social Media Coordinator. Recruited and held accountable to assist in upholding the integrity of the sport's organization, ensuring proper safety and conduct, she volunteers hand in hand with the Commissioners to ensure the success and dignity of the organization with professional diligence. Representing the league at AAYFA and Sports Council Board meetings, championship games and other conference functions, Mrs. MacSorley also reports all financial budget transactions directly to the Commissioner and the Executive Director of Operations. She is extremely dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions that satisfy the organizations goals, with the most significant impact to the program being her representation as Logistics Equipment Manager. Here she has taken over a role of organizing, ordering, budgeting, distributing and properly fitting equipment, as well as implementing new safety and training requirements.
Mrs. MacSorley's other interests include spending time with her family, fundraising, reading and photography. She handles videography for the Severna Park Green Hornets Organization and often puts together slides and presentations for the teams.
In 1992, Mrs. MacSorley earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Laboratory Technology from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She holds memberships with the Touchdown Club of Annapolis, ASPIRE - Association for Severna Park Improvement, Renewal & Enhancement and ABWA - American Business Woman's Association. Mrs. MacSorley supports the Severna Park Green Hornets Organization, HEADstrong Foundation, Conquer Chiari Foundation, The American Heart Association, Autism Speaks, The Wounded Warrior Project, Special Olympics, The National Children's Foundation and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Mrs. MacSorley has just sold her practice and intends to pursue her involvement in her local sports community through her continued volunteerism as well as focusing on a permanent sports career change to be that much closer to her family and to fulfill her passions.
