Fannie Long has 20 years of experience performing facials for Mary Kay
TUSCALOOSA, AL, October 01, 2010 /Cosmetics PR News/ -- Fannie Long, Consultant for Mary Kay Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in beauty care consultation.
A veteran educator, Fannie Long brings a teacher's clarity to her work as a beauty consultant for Mary Kay. She has 20 years of experience in this capacity, and is responsible for advertising and performing facials, networking, and coordinating meetings with the director. Prior to devoting her time to beauty care, Ms. Long taught for almost 34 years, worked as a treasurer, and planned devotional programs. A recipient of Mary Kay's Star Consultant Award in 1998 and 1978, she feels immensely proud to be associated with a company whose products she had always used and believed in. She attributes her success to hard work and determination.
Mrs. Long earned a master of education in 1960 from Alabama State University and a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1953 from Stillman College. She maintains affiliation with the Alabama Retired Teachers Association. An active member of her community, she volunteers at her local Sunday school, the First Corinthians Prayer Group and Stillman College's senior citizen program, and sings with a group at local nursing homes. Honors of which she is a recipient include a 2006 Woman of the Year Award, a 1979 Teacher of the Year Award, and citations from the Ptarmigan Social-Civic Club and SCLC 2001 Black History Program, Eutaw, Alabama. Within the next five years, Mrs. Long aspires to obtain certification to teach others how to sell Mary Kay products.
