Emily C. Kumler Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Business Development and Management
Beauty Expert and President of Emoire, LLC and Prep Cosmetics
CAMBRIDGE, MA, April 6, 2009 /Cosmetics PR News/ -- Emily C. Kumler, President of Emoire, LLC and Prep Cosmetics, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of business development and management.
With nearly a decade of professional experience analyzing business expansion and trends, Ms. Kumler stands proudly at the helm of Prep Cosmetics. At her current post, she is responsible for researching products, creating website content, managing operations, merchandising, procuring high-end brands, forecasting trends, and consulting with staff and customers. Prior to acquiring Prep Cosmetics two years ago, Ms. Kumler worked for six years as a journalist, covering a wide range of topics from business to style. While working in Las Vegas, she wrote a column for a local newspaper regarding beauty tips, myths and tricks. She recalls that she handpicked the products that she wrote about--an experience that built the foundation she required to become an educated beauty expert. Upon leaving Las Vegas, she moved to New York where she wrote for a number of women's magazines, and served as a content and story editor for ABC News: "20/20" and "Primetime."
In addition to her business-related endeavors, Ms. Kumler is a regular contributor to the popular blog Manners101, a website that addresses the importance of social customs. She attributes her success to the inspiration she receives from her father, and considers assisting companies expand business dealings in the Middle East to be particularly rewarding. She earned her Master's Degree in Business Journalism from Northwestern University in 2004. She is a member of Forty 1° North and the Algonquin Club of Boston.
